Property Taxes

Property Taxes (you better know this!) Did you know investors and 2nd homeowners pay 3x the property taxes of primary residents? This is why you need to know where and how to apply for this important exemption when you find the right property. If you’re buying an investment you also need to know how to run these numbers. https://www.greenvillecounty.org/realproperty/
Use this handy search tool to look up taxes, and create estimates. Primary residents are able to apply for an exemption that gives them a 4% tax ratio vs the standard 6% this make a big difference on your annual bill, and MUST BE APPLIED FOR anytime you move, buy/sell, and/or refinance your property. If you’re considering buying an investment property ask our team for guidance.

City Services Locator Tool

City Services Locator Map: This is a very powerful tool that can answer several important questions…

  • Am I actually in the city? This is important to know when it comes to zoning and restrictions. For example if your goal is to buy a property and use it as an Airbnb you can NOT do this in the city limits (Restrictions on short-term rentals) The city map can vary depending on what part of town you are in. Never assume you are in the city just because you can see the skyline! 😉
  • Trash pickup, and much more can also be found using this handy tool.
